Safety

A Culture, Not A Checklist

Independent Roofing Company is dedicated to the highest safety standards for our employees and our customers.

IRC is a member of the Midwest Roofing Contractors Association’s Safety and Health for Roofing Professionals Program (SHARP). As part of the program, criteria is in place to ensure the safety of the Independent Roofing Company employees and others.

Roofing is one of the most hazardous trades in construction. We treat safety as a daily operating requirement, not a binder in the office. Crews hold toolbox talks, complete pre-task planning, and are equipped with the fall protection required for the specific roof they're on.

Our safety record protects our people and protects your project — fewer incidents mean fewer delays and lower risk for building owners.

Our Safety Program

• OSHA-compliant fall protection: guardrails, warning lines, harnesses, and anchor points
• Daily pre-task planning and toolbox safety talks
• Site-specific safety plans for occupied buildings, hospitals, and schools
• Ongoing training and certification for crew members and foremen
• Regular jobsite audits by supervision and safety leadership
• Full general liability and workers' compensation coverage
